Although these are not common, they could include the following:
- Redness, rashes/swelling in the genital area
- Urinary tract infections
- Other similar symptoms
Emotional/Behavioral
These are the most common signs and symptoms:
- “Too perfect” behavior
- Withdrawal and depression
- Unexplained anger and rebellion
- Abrupt changes in behavior
- Sexual behavior and language that isn’t age-appropriate
- Sexually aggressive, forceful, or coercive behavior towards other children
No Signs
For some children, there are no signs or symptoms whatsoever.
